Nigeria Records 603 New COVID-19 Infections, as Cases Exceed 28,000

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country reached 28,167 today after the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 603 new infections.

The centre gave the total number of lives lost to the disease as 634, including six today.

It also said 11,462 persons have recovered from the disease and discharged from isolation centres across the country.

According to NCDC daily figures, Lagos State has the highest number of new infections today with 135, followed by Edo and the federal capital territory with 87 and 73 cases respectively.
