Nigeria Records 501 New COVID-19 Cases, 8 Deaths

Nigeria yesterday recorded 501 fresh cases of COVID-19 taking the total in the country to 15,682.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) also confirmed eight more deaths from the disease, taking the number of COVID-19 related fatalities to 407.

The centre said in its daily Twitter update that a total of 5,101 patients have however recovered from the disease and discharged from isolation centres across the country.

Lagos State recorded the highest number of new infections yesterday with 195 cases, followed by the federal capital territory and Kano State with 50 and 42 respectively.
