Nigeria Records 31 COVID-19 Deaths in 24 Hours, 490 New Cases

Nigeria yesterday recorded 31 COVID-19 related deaths, as the number of confirmed cases increased by 490.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) annouced in the early hours of today that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country is now 17,148.

Lagos State retained its status as the epicentre of the disease with 142 new confirmed cases, followed by the federal capital territory with 60 cases and Bayelsa with 54.

The centre said a total of 5,623 patients have recovered from the disease across the country, while 455 have died.
