African Foundation for Environment and Development (AFED) has made a symbolic presentation of locally made nose masks to the Area Commander at Sango-Ota in Ogun State, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Monday Agbonika today.
According to a statement from AFED, the presentation on May 1, was part of the organization’s ongoing distribution of the locally made nose masks to Security men on duty in Sango-Ota metropolis which started on Wednesday, April 29, 2020.
Mr. Adeshola Afariogun, the Executive Director of AFED in his remarks commended the Security agencies in Sango-Ota metropolis under the leadership of the Area Commander for stemming the rising insecurity in the Communities.
Afariogun also commended the Leadership of the security agencies, the Local Government Chairman, Alhaji Wasiu Lawal FCA and the Communities for their joint efforts to rid the Communities of bad boys terrorizing the area.
Afariogun called on the Government, philanthropists and individuals to “remember our Security agencies in the distribution of relief materials because they have families too”.
AFED had initially distributed food relief materials to Oko-omi and Ore-Akinde Villages as well as members of ‘Widows in Ado-odo/Ota Local Government (WiAOLG)’.
He encouraged everyone to observe social distancing and ensure the use of nose mask.
