A newborn baby has been found dead this morning in a market in Calabar, Cross River State.
The incident was reported by the Cross River State University of Technology TV on its Instagram handle, @crutechtv.
The infant was found in an open space in Watt market, where she is believed to have been abandoned overnight.
Residents believe the baby died as a result of the extremely cold weather.
