The new Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 2 Command has resumed in his Onikan, Lagos office today.
Announcing the resumption in a statement issued today, Zone ‘2’ spokesperson, SP Dolapo Badmus, gave detailed description of the AIG, who will oversee operations in Lagos and Ogun states.
The statement reads in part: “AIG Adamu Ibrahim, mni, was born on 20th November, 1958 in Ruwan Doruwa Town in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State. He joined the Nigeria Police Force as an Assistant Superintendent of Police (Course 14) on 1st of February 1986.
“He obtained his first degree in Geography from Sokoto State University and also Masters Degree in Law Enforcement from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.”
According to Badmus, Ibrahim was at a time Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of C.I.D in Sokoto, Gombe; Area Commander (Metro) Katsina State, Deputy Commissioner (Administration) in Niger and Ondo states, and Deputy Commissioner at FCID Annex, Alagbon, Lagos. He was also CP Force Secretary Office (Deputy Force Sec) FHQS Abuja; Commissioner of Police, Abia and Kaduna states, and Commissioner of Police (Federal Operations) FHQS, Abuja.
He was AIG in charge of Zone 1, Kano, before his transfer to Zone 2, Lagos.
The statement says Ibrahim loves playing Golf and reading.
