Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has declared that Israel will continue its war against Iran “without compromise”, while urging the Iranian people to rise against their leadership as tensions in the Middle East intensify.

In a video statement released during the ongoing conflict, Netanyahu said Israel had “an organised plan with many surprises” for the next phase of the war, aimed at destabilising Iran’s ruling establishment and enabling political change.

“The moment of truth is drawing near,” Netanyahu said, addressing the Iranian public directly. “We are not trying to divide Iran. We are trying to free Iran. But ultimately, it depends on you.”

His remarks come amid heightened confrontation between Israel and Iranian forces and growing concern among Western governments about the regional fallout.

Netanyahu also issued a warning to members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the powerful military organisation that answers directly to Iran’s supreme leadership.

“You are also in our sights,” he said. “Whoever puts his weapon down, no harm will come to him. Whoever does not do that, his blood is on his head.”

The Israeli leader claimed that several countries were increasingly seeking cooperation with Israel in response to what he described as the global threat posed by Iran’s clerical leadership.

“Many nations are turning to us because we are strong, because we are right, because we are fighting,” he said, adding that the government in Tehran endangered not only Israel but the wider international community.

Netanyahu also praised the support of US President Donald Trump, recalling a meeting between the two leaders in December during which Trump reportedly insisted that Iran must be prevented from acquiring nuclear weapons “at any cost”.

According to Netanyahu, the alliance between the United States and Israel was “stronger than ever”, crediting Trump with providing “historic leadership”.

The Israeli premier further criticised the United Nations and some Western governments for what he described as their silence during past repression inside Iran, accusing them of abandoning the Iranian people.

Referring to Iran’s late supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, Netanyahu claimed that tens of thousands of Iranians had been killed under his rule while the international community failed to respond.

“Where was the UN? Where were many states in the West?” Netanyahu asked. “And where was the international media that denounces us relentlessly with fake news?”

Addressing Israeli citizens, Netanyahu acknowledged that the country remained in the middle of what he called a “hard campaign” against Iran’s leadership but vowed that Israeli forces would continue striking Iranian targets.

“We will not cease to hit the dictators in Iran,” he said.

Netanyahu also warned neighbouring Lebanon that its government must enforce the 2024 ceasefire agreement and disarm the Iran-backed militant group, Hezbollah.

If Beirut fails to act, he said, Hezbollah’s continued attacks could bring “disaster” to Lebanon.

“Israel will do everything necessary to protect our towns and our citizens,” the Israeli leader added, insisting that the conflict would ultimately lead to greater security and peace across the region.
