Rivers State recorded its highest daily COVID-19 tally of 127 cases today, as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms 661 new infections in the country.
The centre also said 12 persons died as a result of COVID-19 related complications.
According to the centre, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country is now 19,808, with 6,718 recoveries and 506 fatalities.
Other states with high number of new COVID-19 cases include Lagos (230), Delta (83), federal capital territory (60) and Oyo (51).
