A long-standing Management Staff at the second terminal of Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA2), Mr Mobolaji Salu, has died during a brief illness in Lagos.
According to authorities at MMA2, acclaimed as Nigeria’s best terminal managed by Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), Salu was the Acting Head of Business.
A statement issued by Mikail Mumuni, the Group Corporate Affairs Manager of the company says Salu, formerly the Head of Operations of BASL died on December 24.
Mumuni in the statement quoted the Chairman of BASL, Dr Wale Babalakin SAN describing the death as “a big loss to the company, his family and the Nigerian Aviation sector”.
Babalakin stated: “Bolaji was a hardworking and diligent person who will be dearly missed by the Board, Management and Staff of BASL, his family and his colleagues in the aviation sector in general.”
Salu who joined the services of BASL since its inception is survived by his wife, two children and parents.
Mumuni said the company, working in conjunction with the family would announce the funeral rites of the deceased at a later date.
