A chilling family tragedy has emerged in Britain after relatives revealed that the mother of three sisters who drowned in the sea had also died by drowning years earlier in a Birmingham lake.
Jane Adetoro, 36, Christina Walters, 32, and Rebecca Walters, 31, all from west London, were found dead after entering the sea in Brighton in the early hours of May 13, a tragedy now hauntingly linked to the death of their mother, Janice Adetoro, in 2010.
The sisters had entered the sea in Brighton in the early hours of May 13, sparking shock and grief across the United Kingdom. Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
In a painful twist, devastated relatives disclosed that the sisters may have travelled to the coastal city to honour the memory of their late mother, who drowned in Brookvale Park lake, Erdington, in January 2010.

Janice Adetoro, then 43, reportedly suffered stress-related mental health challenges before she disappeared from her home in Linton Walk, Erdington, during the early hours of January 5, 2010.
Following frantic searches and emotional public appeals led by her brother, Lincoln Walters, and her mother, Cynthia Smith-Walters, Janice’s body was later recovered from the ornamental lake at Brookvale Park.
The latest tragedy has left relatives and friends shattered, with many struggling to comprehend the devastating recurrence of loss within the same family.
Authorities in Brighton continue investigations into the circumstances surrounding the sisters’ deaths.
