An accident involving several vehicles has brought traffic to a standstill on the notorious Otedola Bridge in Lagos.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Agency reported on its Twitter handle, @followlastma, that the accident involved about five vehicles. It advised motorists to seek alternative routes.

One of the tweets read: “This accident involves a containerized truck, a pickup and a high capacity bus as well as several cars. Casualties still trapped in the pickup. The road is totally blocked for now. Emergency agencies are on ground.”

The accident reportedly affected motorists heading towards Berger.

LASTMA also tweeted few minutes ago that the vehicles involved in the accident had been removed from the scene but the road still remained closed.
