Femi Ashekun/

Afolabi Brown, husband of the host of TVC breakfast programme, Your View, Morayo Afolabi-Brown, has disclosed that his wife and other staff were beaten mercilessly by suspected hoodlums who invaded the TV station this morning.

The headquarters of the station in Alapere, Ketu area of Lagos, was razed during the attack which followed the reported killing of some unarmed protesters by soldiers at the Lekki Toll Plaza yesterday night.

In a Facebook post, Brown disclosed that his wife’s car and those of others were also burnt by the attackers, while their phones were also taken from them.

He wrote, “Morayo, Tope and her husband spoke with me on an unknown number. Their phones have been taken by the protesters, and they were beaten mercilessly. I heard their cars have been burnt with other cars in TVC. I also heard that TVC has been razed. Morayo says they’re in serious pain but will come home by the grace of God. I believe they will. Thank you all for all your prayers and concern. May the good Lord spare you all from grief IJN. Amen.”
