The Prayer and Support for Nigerian Armed Forces and Other Security Agencies has commiserated with retired Major General Moundhey Gadzama Ali over the death of his wife, Mrs Japari Ali, JP (née Ubandoma), describing her passing as an “irreplaceable loss.”
The organisation, in a condolence statement signed by its Convener, Ambassador Mary Abayomi-Fatile, also extended its sympathies to the couple’s children, the Ali and Ubandoma families, friends and associates.
Abayomi-Fatile acknowledged the significant role the deceased played in supporting her husband throughout his years of military service, noting that spouses of military personnel often bear considerable sacrifices behind the scenes as their partners serve the nation.
“The death of a spouse is an immeasurable loss. We recognise the invaluable role Mrs. Japari Ali played as a supportive partner throughout her husband’s years of service to the nation,” the statement said.
The group noted that Mrs Ali, like many military spouses, shared in the challenges and sacrifices associated with a life devoted to national service.
It said her contributions extended beyond being the wife of a senior military officer, describing her life as one marked by devotion to family, service and humanity.
“As an organisation committed to supporting members of the Armed Forces, other security agencies, veterans and their families, we stand in solidarity with Major General Ali and his family at this difficult time,” Abayomi-Fatile said.
The organisation prayed that the retired general and members of the bereaved family would find strength and comfort in the memories they shared with the deceased.
“We hope they find strength, comfort and courage in the cherished memories of a life devoted to family, service and humanity,” the statement added.
It further assured the Ali and Ubandoma families of the prayers and solidarity of its members as they mourn Mrs Ali.
“The thoughts and prayers of our members are with the entire family as they mourn this irreplaceable loss,” Abayomi-Fatile said.
