Mike Styles Sets Stage for Epic Film on Charly Boy

American filmmaker Mike Styles is set to produce a biopic of Nigerian showbiz maestro, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy.

Styles, with credits from box office movies such as Spiderman, Transformers, and the State of Play, shared insights on the monster movie project in Atlanta GA, USA, on Nigeria’s Independence Day – October 1^st.  

Resident in Atlanta, Mike Styles is a Director, Casting Director, and Celebrity Booking Agent whose accolades have come from 20-plus years in the industry of film and television.

According to him, the Film titled “Charly Boy” is about a Nigerian native whose life was influenced greatly by his visit to America. This movie is based on actual events, and the producers are hoping to use Charly Boy’s life story to send a message out across the world to focus more on similarities as opposed to differences.

Styles said, “We are using production companies from both America and Africa to create a “Hollywood meets Nollywood” collaboration further supporting our message of unity.”

Charly Boy, the son of the late Supreme Court Justice Chukwudifu Oputa, is a legend in Lagos, where he has been practicing as a musician activist, actor, and social media influencer. He has featured as a speaker on Ted Talks and starred in major Nollywood films. He will be portrayed as a Nelson Mandela-type figure and the names that are being considered to star in this film are KeKe Palmore Nope – 2022, Bill Skarsgard Pennywise – 2019 John David Washington Tenet – 2020, Harry Melling Devil All the Time – 2020, and RN/ID Richard Mofe Danmijo Castle and Castle – 2019.

A panel set up for the project consists of Mike Styles as Director, Skip Hartquest (Executive Producer, Owner of Hartquest productions, and former Lawyer of President General Ford, Kenndrie Utuk.

Also on the project are Executive Producer and Synderella Clarke Assistant Director, Scriptwriter Chief Editor, and Master Audio Engineer.
