Many Escape Death as Crash Barrier Stops Commuter Bus from Plunging into Lagos Lagoon

Tragedy was averted this afternoon when a fully loaded commuter bus, popularly called danfo, lost control after suffering a tyre burst on the Third Mailand Bridge in Lagos.

The bus was however prevented from skidding off the bridge into the lagoon by the crash barrier.

Some of the injured passengers after they were evacuated from the wreckage

Many of the passengers however suffered varying degrees of injuries.

NewmakersNG learnt that emergency officials have evacuated those with serious injuries to the hospital.
