What on earth would make a man quietly kill his mother and bury the body in a soak-away pit?
That’s the riddle that the police in Ogun State are trying to solve since yesterday when they arrested a man, who was accused of killing his mother.
Thirty-three-year-old Segun Ogunlusi was arrested following a report from his younger sister, Yetunde Ogunlusi, who told officers that she left her 60-year-old mother, Mrs. Abimbola Ogunlusi, at home when she was going to the office last Tuesday, but returned at about 7:15pm to find her missing.
Ogun police spokesman, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi, told Newsmakers in a statement: “She stated further that when she inquired from her elder brother, Segun Ogunlusi, who was at home with their mother, the explanation given by him was not satisfactory. Based on her report, the DPO Ogijo Division, SP Ahmed Tijani led a team of Policemen to the house at 16, Oketunde Street, Molatori Ogijo where the suspect was promptly arrested.
