A guard at a farm in Lekki, Lagos, has been arrested by the police for allegedly killing his mate in a fight and making minced meat of the body.
Twenty-eight-year-old Haruna Abubakar was arrested after he took detectives working on the case of a missing herdsman to the bush where he had dumped the chopped body packed in a bag.

According to the police, Abubakar and the slain herdsman were co-workers on a farm in Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos.
Lagos police spokesperson, SP Dolapo Badmos, gave details of the case in a statement.
She said that it all started two days ago on December 3, when the suspect aged 28 years had an altercation with the victim aged 27 years. The altercation led to a fight to the death, as Abubakar knocked down his opponent and finished him off with a dagger.
“The suspect hauled down the deceased with a dagger, cut him into pieces, packed him in a sack and dumped him in the bush,” Badmos said.
The victim’s brother, identified as Adamu, reported the case of a missing person to the police when his brother did not return home after the day’s work.
Badmos said: “The clue gathered by the police led to the arrest of the suspect, who later confessed to the crime and led operatives to the scene where the dismembered body was recovered.
“The Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Panti for further investigation and prosecution.”
