Man Abducted by Gunmen on Kano-Katsina Road Same Week he Joked about Being Kidnapped

In what appeared like a premonition, a man and his sister were kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Katsina State on Friday, few days after he joked about it.

According to his friend, Babangida Ruma, who shared the news of his abduction on Twitter, Nasif Ahmed and his sister, Mubinatu Ahmed, who is nursing mother, were kidnapped about 8pm along the Kano-Katsina road.

NewsmakersNG learnt that several others were also kidnapped by the gunmen who laid an ambush for travellers on the road.

Ruma, who is a youth and development advocate, added that some days earlier while they were returning to Katsina from Kaduna, Nasif had jokingly asked him what would happen if both of them were to be kidnapped.

Reports say Nasif eventually managed to escape from his abductors this morning while his sister had earlier been released alongside some other victims shortly after the attack on Friday.
