A Nigerian man based in Malaysia has been killed by suspected assassins during his first visit to Nigeria since he travelled nine years ago.
The deceased, identified as Arthur Eze, was reportedly murdered in his home on Wednesday.
The news of his murder was shared on Facebook yesterday by one Emeka Augustine, who claimed to be his friend.
He lamented that the deceased suffered untold hardship in Malaysia before he became successful only for him to return to Nigeria to be murdered.
His post reads: “Going back to Nigeria for the first time after 9 years and you guys killed him in his house. He suffered and slept outside for years and finally made it and go home only to met his death. My man my man. What a world. Arthur Eze, rest in peace.
“Those assassins that murdered you last night will surely give account to God. Nigeria is not safe any more. We are expecting you to come back to Malaysia and this is what we got this morning. May your soul R.I.P.”
