Can you spot the difference in these two pictures of a girl declared missing in Lagos and a girl found days after in Katsina?

The girl on the left was declared missing in Lagos, and the other picture shows a girl found by the police in Katsina. There are similarities in their looks. Could they be the same person? This remains a puzzle.

A day after NewsmakersNG received the report of a girl that was found missing after telling her mum she was going for training at Igbogbo stadium, in Ikorodu, Lagos, the police found a look-alike girl in chains in Katsina, about 1199 miles away from Lagos.

A statement issued by the Katsina police spokesman, DSP Gambo Isah, says: “Katsina State Police Command is drawing the attention of the general public to assist and trace the parents of a found person one Fatima Abdullahi.  On 04/10/2017 a missing girl one Fatima Abdullahi ‘f’ aged 16 years was found and brought to Central Police Station Katsina. Fatima was found with her legs shackled with chain.  She could hear but could not speak.  But, she can reply by writing the name of her father as Baba, mother as Hauwa.  She wrote the names of her siblings as Kadija and Zainab.  If asked where she came from, she writes Kano.  Kindly circulate this message and her picture below to enable us trace her parents, relatives or guardians, please.”

The missing person report in Lagos came with phone numbers to call if she is seen: 08033963330, 08073202531, 08025835888.

NewsmakersNG received the report through a Whatsapp message.
