Kunle Adeyanju, the Nigerian biker and adventurer known for his record-breaking ride from London to Lagos in 2022, is embarking on another long-distance journey, this time from Lagos to Spain.
In a recent post on X, Adeyanju, who is popularly called “LionHeart”, announced that he was ready to hit the road in a few days, saying his bike had been serviced, his gear and tools were packed, and his mindset was fully charged for the new challenge.
He said the mission, tagged Nigeria Rising… Strong Nation, Bright Future!, would share stories that capture the emotions, struggles and triumphs of the road, and inspire others to believe in the strength and promise of the country.
Adeyanju gained international recognition in 2022 when he rode a motorcycle from London to Lagos to raise awareness and funds for the fight against polio.
The journey covered about 12,000 kilometres across 11 countries in 41 days. He faced harsh desert conditions, mechanical breakdowns and life-threatening moments, which he later described as some of the most difficult experiences of his life.
During that earlier expedition, Adeyanju partnered with Rotary Club Ikoyi Metro to promote immunisation and community health projects in Africa.
His commitment earned him widespread admiration and made him a symbol of courage and determination for many Nigerians.
Speaking on the new ride, he said he was ready to take on fresh challenges, push limits and power through difficult moments that test the spirit of adventure.
He called on Nigerians to echo his new mantra of national pride and hope, saying the journey was about more than just travel—it was about showing that the country could rise above its challenges.
Adeyanju is expected to share real-time updates and stories from the journey on social media as he travels through multiple countries towards Spain, continuing the same spirit of endurance and service that marked his previous feat.
