The state commissioner of police (CP) Imohimi Edgal told reporters today that the dog is an accomplice in the alleged crime.

He said, “On September 5th, police arrested one Odumade Olajide and Adekuye Adisa with one dog. The police recovered a motorcycle used by the suspects. Their modus operandi was targeting women and after robbing the women, they release the dog to chase the women. While the women are being chased by the dog, the suspects will mount their motorcycle and flee. The police however got wind of their activities and they were subsequently arrested with the dog.”

The suspects however denied the allegation.

“Our dog is not an armed robber and we are not armed robbers. Our dog is called Bullet and he is a good dog. We do not know anything about the crime,” Adisa said.
