The police in Lagos have arrested Salisu Mustapha, the owner of three dogs that reportedly mauled a security guard to death at Pinnock Estate, Ilasan, Lekki.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, sparking widespread concern among residents and drawing attention to issues of animal control and public safety.
Following the incident, police swiftly confiscated the dogs and launched an intensive investigation.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Olanrewaju Ishola, assured the public that the matter would be thoroughly examined and that justice would be served accordingly.
In a statement, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer SP Benjamin Hundeyin emphasized the Command’s commitment to ensuring public safety and accountability in the case.
