Lagos, Oyo Still Leading in New Infections as Total Confirmed Cases Reach 21,371

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) today announced 452 new COVID-19 infections, taking the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 21,371.

The centre also confirmed eight COVID-19 related fatalities in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll from the disease to 533.

A total of 7,338 persons have also recovered from the disease, according to the centre.

Lagos State continues to record the highest number of new daily infections with 209 cases, followed by Oyo with 67.
