Three men who were kidnapped by suspected Fulani bandits on Tuesday evening at Ajebo end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State, while coming from Lagos, have regained their freedom.
The victims include the son of the Chief Medical Director of Lafia Hospital, Apata, Ibadan, Oyo State, identified as Kayode Sule, who was also shot by the kidnappers and two staff members of the hospital, Dele Adigun and Opeyemi Abifarin.
The kidnappers had reportedly demanded N50m ransom for their release but NewsmakersNG could not confirm if any was paid before they were released on Friday night.
Police are yet to comment on the development.
