Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Accident Kills 5, Injures 13

Five persons died in an accident on Lagos-Ibadan expressway today.

NewsmakersNG learnt from the News Agency of Nigeria that 13 others were injured in the accident.

Ogun Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr. Clement Oladele, said that the accident occurred at a place called Wazobia at about 9am.

The sector commander said a commercial bus with marked MGD 129 ZF coming from Ibadan to Lagos lost control and collided with a trailer marked DDA 121 XA that was parked by the road side.

“The corpses of the victims had been deposited at the mortuary in Ipara General Hospital, while the survivors are also receiving treatment at Sagamu and Victory Hospital, Ogere,’’ he said.

Oladele added that the driver of the commercial bus absconded immediately after the accident occurred.
