Young Nigerians holding Lagos State on lockdown have killed a cow today at 4pm to send a message to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who earlier in the day imposed a 24-hour curfew to end the lingering protest over police brutality tagged #EndSARS.
The protesters, who had tasked nearby residents at the Ojodu-Berger area of the state to donate cow and bags of rice, stayed on the barricaded road, killed a cow, and started cooking while dancing to various kinds of music.
Sanwo-Olu in a statement issued today warned that the curfew would commence at 4pm.
A curfew earlier declared in Edo State yesterday appears to have failed to keep protesters indoors.
The #EndSARS protest has been on for 14 days.
