Lagos Court Jails Man 5 Years for $1.49M Fraud

An internet fraudster, Augustine Ighodalo, has been jailed five years for $1,049,251.84 fraud.

Ighodalo was arraigned before Justice Sherifat Solebo of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos on September 26 by the Lagos Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

He was arraigned on a three-count charge bordering on “transfer of criminal proceeds to a nominee”, based on intelligence received by the EFCC from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
