Lagos State Commissioner for Information, Mr Kehinde Bamigbetan has told how he cheated death this weekend when his driver ran into an armoured personnel carrier (APC).
Bamigbetan broke the story in a post on his Facebook page.
He stated: “His mercy endures forever. The driver drove into an armoured carrier on our way from the farm. I was taking a nap in the rear seat. The impact flung me at the windscreen. He dozed off on speed. But our Creator was in charge. He saved us from the calamity. To God be the glory.”
The accident makes it the third time Bamigbetan would be having a close shave with death in recent times.
Last October, seven gunmen stormed his residence in Ejigbo area of Lagos looking for him while he was away.
About six years ago, some gunmen abducted Bamigbetan, who was then the Chairman of the Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
The kidnap-gang that was later smashed by the police demanded a $1 million ransom.
