The Department of State Services (DSS) has arraigned three staff members of the Lagos State House of Assembly following an incident on Monday, 17 February 2025.
The arraignment took place today before Justice Daniel Emeka Osiagor at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi.
The accused individuals—Adetu Adekunle, Adetola Oluwatosin, and Ibrahim AbdulAkeem—face charges including misinformation, cyberbullying, and assaulting DSS officials.
The court has remanded them in DSS custody, with the case adjourned till tomorrow.
This development stems from a confrontation at the Lagos State House of Assembly complex on 17 February, during which the DSS reported that its personnel were attacked by some Assembly staff members.
The DSS stated that its officers were present at the Assembly upon official invitation to provide security amid ongoing tensions within the legislative body.
The incident has intensified the existing crisis within the Lagos State House of Assembly, leading to heightened security measures.
