APC Primaries: Stalemate as Pitan Defeats Oba Akiolu’s Son in Lagos

Results of yesterday’s All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives Primary for Lagos Island/Eti Osa Constituency have been withheld after an alleged upset in the outcome.

NewsmakersNG learnt that no result was announced after apparent defeat of Prince Kayode Akiolu, the son of Lagos traditional ruler, Oba Riliwanu Akiolu by Bolaji Pitan, a brother of Dr Leke Pitan, a former commissioner for health in the state.

NewsmakersNG also learnt that Prince Akiolu came fourth among the eight contestants that included Gen Olumuyiwa Okunowo (RTD), Hon M. S. Arilesere, Barr. Saheed Adegboyega Salawe, Engr Mukhtar Temitope Tijani, Saheed Akorede Kekere-Ekun and Pastor Mike Ope.
