An Eti-Osa Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State has remanded a lady, identified as Oluwafunmilayo Erioluwa, for allegedly assaulting a police officer.
NewsmakersNG learnt that the incident that led to her arraignment before the court, yesterday, took place at Ogombo, in Eti-Osa local government area, on Monday night.
Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, was also arraigned for the same offence before a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court, yesterday, and granted bail by a Chief Magistrate, Mrs, Adeola Olatunbosun.
Seun, son of Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, was accused of slapping a police officer in Lagos, on Sunday.
But in the case of Erioluwa, the Magistrate, M.O. Alao, ordered that she should remanded to the Kirikiri Custodial Centre till June 6, when the case will come up again.
Police spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the development in a tweet late yesterday.
