Former Oyo State governor, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has been installed as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The coronation took place at the Ose Meji Temple in Ibadan South-East Local Government Area, where he was formally crowned after receiving the symbolic Akoko leaf earlier at the Labosinde Compound, Oja’ba.
Governor Seyi Makinde, who cut short his annual leave to attend the historic occasion, is expected to present Oba Ladoja with the staff and instrument of office at Mapo Hall.
Ladoja emerged Olubadan-designate following the passing of the 43rd Olubadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, who died on July 7, 2025.
