Retired Methodist Archbishop and Chairman of Yoruba Unity Forum, Ayo Ladigbolu, has charged President-elect, Bola Tinubu, to leverage his experience, influence, and connections to make Nigeria greater.

The Oyo prince, who is eyeing the Alaafin of Oyo stool, told The Guardian in the ancient town that Tinubu would deliver as leader of the most populous black nation.

He described the Jagaban Borgu as someone who enjoys wide acceptance, recalling that he fought for the country during the regime of the late General Sani Abacha.

The cleric submitted that Nigerians would not regret electing the erstwhile Lagos State governor.

Ladigbolu said, “There was a big rally in Lagos, organized by leaders of Yorubaland. I was asked to chair the rally, which to me, was an honour and a delight that I could be asked to play that role by Southwest leaders of thoughts. I sang a song, saying our own choice is Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and that we were going to support him to the end because we believed it is our right to do so.

“To God’s glory, he has been elected the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I want to congratulate him, his family, and the Yoruba leaders of thought, who organized the rally.

“We are confident that Bola will perform, do his best and Nigerians will see the difference.”
