Kogi State has recorded another COVID-19 case bringing the number infected persons in the state to three.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed this in its daily Twitter update late yesterday.
Governor Yahaya Bello had on Tuesday placed all the communities in Kabba/Bunu council area of the state on two weeks ‘absolute’ lockdown after two persons in the council area tested positive for COVID-19.
The governor, however, maintained that the state is still free from the virus until the cases are independently verified.
NCDC also disclosed that Nigeria recorded 348 new COVID-19 cases yesterday out of which 163 are in Lagos State and 76 in the federal capital territory.
According to the centre, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 11,166, out of which 3,329 have recovered and 315 have died.
