Kogi has recorded another COVID-19 infection taking the number of confirmed cases in the state to five, even as Governor Yahaya Bello continues to insist that the state is free from the virus.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its update, said 454 new COVID-19 cases and 12 fatalities were recorded in the country today.

According to the centre, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country has risen to 27,564 out of which 11,069 have recovered.

Lagos State has the highest number of new infections with 87, followed by Edo and the federal capital territory with 63 and 60 cases respectively.
