Kelechi Ndukwe Becomes First Nigerian-American to Command US Warship

Commander Kelechi Ndukwe has become the Nigerian-American to command a US warship.

Ndukwe, today, assumed command of a US Navy Guided Missile Destroyer, USS Halsey, (DDG-97), making him the first Nigerian-American to attain such height in the history of US Navy.

Ndukwe hails from Okoko-item, Abia State.
