Residents of Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State on Tuesday afternoon took to major streets of the town to protest the recent daily attacks by bandits.
Katsina Post learned that the protesters, comprising grown men and children, carried cardboard papers with different inscriptions calling on the government, both state and federal, as well as security agencies to step up their games and protect them.
We also learned that the angry protesters burnt tyres and billboards of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Aminu Bello Masari to visibly demonstrate their anger and frustration.
Recall that on Friday last week, suspected bandits attacked Wagini village in Batsari local government area of the state, killing one person and injuring three others.
The gunmen had stormed the village around midnight, shooting sporadically and setting ablaze cars and houses.
