The Aliko Dangote Foundation founded by Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has donated a fully equipped mobile COVID-19 molecular laboratory to the Kano State government.
The latest efforts is coming on the heels of the completion of a 400-bed COVID-19 isolation centre in the state by the foundation.
This laboratory which is the third testing centre in Kano is aimed at expanding the COVID-19 diagnostic capacity in the state to cope with the rising number of suspected cases.
The laboratory which has the capacity to test 400 samples per day was set up in partnership with 54gene.
The other testing centres are located at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital and Bayero University.
