The Kaduna State government has commenced a house-to-house search within the Kaduna metropolis in bid to recover looted COVID-19 palliatives and arrest suspected looters.
Youths hiding under the #EndSARS protests had looted a warehouse where COVID-19 palliatives were kept in the state on Monday.
NewsmakersNG learnt that the exercise commenced yesterday and would continue until all the looted items are recovered.
Governor Nasir El-Rufai confirmed the development in a tweet yesterday, while reacting to another tweet about the exercise.
He tweeted, “We intend to bring each and everyone of them to justice. Stealing and destruction of property in the guise of #EndSARS will not be tolerated in Kaduna State. Thanks.”
Many Twitter users however chided the governor for misplacing his priorities.
They queried him for putting more efforts into finding looters of COVID19 palliatives than he had put into finding the bandits terrorising residents of the state.
