Just In: Robbers Attack Banks in Ikere-Ekiti

Armed robbers today attacked some commercial banks in Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State, killing one person and leaving many customers injured.

The dead victim was a cleaner in one of the affected banks.

Several online videos show gunshots booming in the town as residents and passersby sought safety.

Newsmakerslive.org learned that Access and Wema Bank branches were among those affected.

Reports say the robbers successfully looted the vaults of the banks.
