Nigerian disc jockey and philanthropist, DJ Cuppy, has sparked excitement on social media after announcing that her younger sister, Temi Otedola, is expecting her first child.

Cuppy, whose real name is Florence Otedola, shared the joyful news in a brief but emotional post on X on Thursday, writing: “My sister @TemiOtedola is pregnant. I’m going to be an auntyyyyy.”

The announcement quickly generated widespread reactions online, with fans, celebrities and well-wishers flooding social media with congratulatory messages for the Otedola family and Temi’s husband, Afrobeats star and entrepreneur Mr Eazi.

The pregnancy news was also confirmed in an exclusive interview published by People magazine, where Temi revealed that she and Mr Eazi are expecting their first child later this year.

According to the actress, the couple discovered the pregnancy shortly after concluding their elaborate three-part wedding celebrations in 2025, which included ceremonies in Monaco, Dubai and Iceland.

Temi described the experience as a blessing, saying she and her husband were “extremely blessed and grateful” as they prepare to welcome a new addition to their family.

The couple’s relationship has remained one of the most closely followed celebrity romances in Nigeria since they went public with their relationship in 2017.

They became engaged in 2022 before eventually tying the knot in a series of high-profile but relatively private ceremonies last year.

Temi, daughter of billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, has built a successful career beyond her famous family name, gaining recognition for her acting roles in films including Citation and her growing influence in fashion and digital media.

Mr Eazi, whose real name is Oluwatosin Ajibade, is widely regarded as one of Africa’s leading music exports and the founder of emPawa Africa, a platform supporting emerging African artistes.

The pregnancy announcement also comes months after the couple publicly dismissed false rumours circulating online that they had secretly welcomed a child earlier this year.
