Joy as Nigeria Witnesses Record Daily Recoveries from COVID-19

For the first time since the outbreak of COVID-19 disease, Nigeria recorded the highest number of daily recoveries among COVID-19 patients, today.

The daily update by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) showed that 152 patients were discharged from isolation centres across the country having recovered from the disease.

Lagos and Bauchi States took the lead with 67 and 38 discharged patients respectively.

The NCDC also confirmed 179 fresh COVID-19 cases in the country, bringing the total number to 5,621.

Figures released by the agency show that Lagos State recorded the highest number of daily infections with 85 cases.

Five deaths were also recorded today taking the total to 176.
