Investigative journalist and documentary filmmaker behind the viral BBCAfrica ‘Sex for Grades’ documentary, Kiki Mordi, has narrated how she escaped death yesterday after collapsing inside a cab.
She disclosed her experience in a tweet on her handle, @kikimordi.
She however did not disclose where the incident took place.
According to Mordi, her saving grace was the driver’s knowledge of basic first aid, which made it possible for him to revive her.
The celebrated journalist said in subsequent tweets that she was okay but had been advised to reduce her work schedule.
She wrote: “That was how I collapsed inside an Uber today. Thank you Olajide for being proactive and saving my life.
“Scary thought. Do Uber and co drivers know basic first aid? Is this a prerequisite?
Mine did today and I may have died if he didn’t.
“Also I’m fine guys. Will be doing less traveling and more resting.”
