A two-story building housing Saints Academy in the Busa-Buji area of Jos North LGA collapsed early yesterday trapping students who were taking exams inside.
The incident, which occurred around 8:30 AM local time, has resulted in at least 22 fatalities and 132 injuries, according to initial reports.
Rescue operations are underway, with cranes deployed to assist in the extrication of those trapped under the debris.
Authorities fear that more individuals may still be buried beneath the rubble as rescue efforts continue. The collapse has prompted a significant emergency response and caused disruptions in the surrounding area.
