Chinese billionaire and founder of Ali Baba, Jack Ma, is set to ship another consignment of badly needed medical equipment and consumables to Africa to aid the continent’s fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
Ma is making the donations through his Jack Ma Foundation, which earlier this month made a similar donation to Europe.
While annoucing the donation today via his verified Twitter handle, @JackMa, he disclosed that the supplies will be shared among 54 nations in Africa.
According to him, the medical supplies include 500 ventilators, 200,000 suits and face shields, 2000 thermometers, one million swabs and extraction kits and 500,000 gloves.
This is the second time Ma is making such donation to Africa since the outbreak of coronavirus.
