Iwo Action Council, an assembly of all social clubs and associations of Iwo origin, has announced a N20 million fundraiser to complete its secretariat complex.
A statement signed by Kabiru Kulukulu (FCA), on behalf of the Secretariat and Fundraising Committee, said the event, coupled with its annual lecture, holds on July 28, at the Iwo City Hall, in Osun State.
The lecture, which will be delivered by Prof. Lai Olurode, is entitled, ‘Creating Safe Spaces for Everyone: Short Term Effect, Long Term Impact.’
The event will be chaired by Dr. Bayo Lasisi, (FCA), while the chairperson is Alhaja Ronke Okanlawon.
The chief launchers are Dr. B.O. Babalakin (Chairman, Resort Group) and Alhaji Musiliu Smith (a retired Inspector General of Police).
The royal guest is Oba Munirudeen Lawal, the Timi of Ede in Osun State, while the host is Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, the Oluwo of Iwoland.
