IORMS 2024: Annual Conference Returns to South-South

Executives of the Institute of Operational Research and Management Science of Nigeria (IORMS) recently gathered to discuss the next annual conference in September 2024.

Rising from a collaborative meeting with the Management of the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, they concluded that the annual conference 2024 would be held at the Garden City.

The Operational Research International Conference is a yearly event to promote Operational Research practices and solutions, which brings together researchers and experts worldwide to proffer solutions to economic and developmental challenges.

The 2020/2021 was an e-Conference due to Covid and it was held at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), while the 2019 conference took place at Mountain Top University (MTU), Ogun State; 2023 was at the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH).

In 2018, the annual conference was held at Akwa Ibom State University, Ikot Akpadem, Akwa Ibom. The conference returns to the South-South this year.

The National Publicity Secretary of the Institute, Mr. Gbenga Oso, said, “This year’s conference will be held at the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, South-South Nigeria. It promises to be as resourceful and impactful as ever. Everyone should look out for the forthcoming event details and attend.”
