Global investors, top golfers, diplomats, and key government players are set to converge on Delta State as the 2025 Canaan Land Smart City Golf Tournament and Business Conference kicks off in Koko Town from December 12 to 14, 2025.

The high-profile event, packaged by the Akogate Group, is positioned as a major platform for showcasing Koko Town’s expanding economic landscape and attracting long-term local and foreign investment.

A statement from the Chief Executive Officer of Akogate Group, Felix Aganbi, says Koko Town’s strategic assets place it firmly on the global investment map.

“Koko Town has huge potential for investment, particularly in real estate, agriculture, health, tourism and other key sectors. We are expecting professional golfers and investors from different parts of the world,” Aganbi said.

Describing Koko as a bustling port community, he noted its strong fishing and shrimping operations, as well as the presence of several oil and gas companies.

“Whether you are a local or foreign investor, or you are looking at residential or commercial properties, there is something for everyone in Koko,” he added.

Aganbi emphasized that this year’s tournament and business conference will spotlight the full spectrum of opportunities available in the town, from maritime trade to tourism and industrial growth.

On security, he assured that extensive measures have been put in place to guarantee a safe and welcoming environment for visitors throughout the three-day event.

“Steps have been taken to ensure that visitors from within and outside the country have a secure and conducive atmosphere within which to assess the economic opportunities of Koko,” he said.
He highlighted the famed hospitality of the residents, noting that anticipation is high among business leaders in Nigeria and across the world.

“Top businessmen, members of the diplomatic corps, and key actors in government are looking forward to converging on Koko beginning from December 12. They are excited by the hospitality of the people and the vast opportunities for commerce, tourism, and industry,” he stated.

Aganbi said the 2025 edition would drive sustainable economic participation while creating new windows of opportunity for both local and international investors.
