The statement explains that in line with the theme of this year’s International Day of the Girl Child — “Digital generation. Our generation” — the interactive session will focus on enlightening participants on the “mindful, beneficial and deliberate’ use of digital technologies, especially social media.
According to the statement, topics to be discussed during the one hour interactive session include: (1) Using social media mindfully and deliberately, rather than addictively, (2) using social media mindfully and deliberately, rather than addictively and how to deal with online abuse and (3) leveraging digital media for improved performance in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).
The statement further says that writing materials, comprising branded exercise book and pen, will be distributed to the nearly 500 students expected to take part in the event.
It adds that the event starts at 8am prompt and can be watched live on Facebook via this link: https://fb.me/e/4Jba2YDHk?ti=wa
